Visual diagnostics

Zoolux veterinary clinic uses the most modern equipment to diagnose animal health.

All doctors of the visual diagnostics department perform expert ultrasound of the abdominal cavity, the protocol of which includes an assessment:

• Urinary system (bladder, urethra, kidneys, ureters)
• Reproductive system (uterus, ovaries, prostate, testes)
• Hepatobiliary system (liver, gallbladder, bile duct, choledochus) and spleen
• Pancreas (pancreas)
• Gastrointestinal tract (stomach, 12-palate, jejunum, ileum, cecum, colon)
• Adrenal glands and lymph nodes
• The main vessels of the abdominal cavity and their branches (aorta, caudal vena cava, portal vein, liver vascular system)
• The presence of free fluid, foci of inflammation.

Visual diagnosticians also conduct a focus examination of the chest cavity (TFAST, VetBLUE) to detect free fluid and lung pathology.

Expert echocardiography (ECHO ) includes examination of the left and right heart chambers, blood vessels, blood flow (Doppler velocity measurement), pericardium, and exclusion of congenital heart defects.

Interventional procedures under the control of ultrasound (various diagnostic centses) can be performed either directly during the examination of the patient(cystocentesis, abdominocentesis) or require special preparation and sedation(cholecystocentesis, pyelocentesis, thoracocentesis, pericardiocentesis, trocath and fine needle biopsy).This is planned in advance with the referring physician or, in case of urgent patients, with the doctor of the intensive care unit.
